During my time in Thailand and China, I encountered these healing practices that were once unfamiliar to me. Now, I see how deeply embedded reflexology, moxibustion, and other methods are in their cultures. They are not just practices; they are a heritage passed down for thousands of years, even though many people still don’t know them in depth.

Before the foot massage session, the feet are soaked in a relaxing basin with warm water and aromatic flowers to help relax the muscles. After this, the foot massage begins.

Fish pedicures use small Garra Rufa fish to gently nibble away dead skin from the feet. This treatment is popular in summer as it leaves the skin feeling smooth and refreshed, while also promoting better circulation.

Moxibustion is a key technique in traditional Chinese medicine. It involves the careful warming of dried mugwort herbs placed on or near specific acupuncture points. This practice boosts circulation, relieves pain, and supports overall wellness by balancing the body’s energy flow.

In China, there are large reflexology halls with over 200 leather chairs, each equipped with various types of massages. Each chair provides a massage, and clients can enjoy entertainment on a TV during their session.

Acupuncture in China has now developed into specialized fields. There are experts focusing on specific areas such as cardiology, internal medicine, or digestive health, with dedicated specialists for each type of treatment.
